Toyota trucks w/ the 3.0L V6 Engine

Toyota trucks w/ the 3.0L V6 Engine Most of you have had the head gaskets replaced under warranty by now. However, we are finding that some time after the gaskets go, one or more valves will burn, resulting in loss of compression and requiring a valve job. This seems to be because the valves get tight. The valves should be adjusted at least every 90,000 to 100,000 miles, more often if the truck is used to haul heavy loads or many short trips. Ignore this at your peril! You WILL burn a valve if you don't adjust them!
